Ozan Bilginer (b. 1979, Ankara) graduated from Hacettepe University, from the Fine Arts Faculty’s Painting Department in 2001. He continued to complete his masters degree at the same university in 2004. The artist currently lives and works in Ankara.
The artist likens the art of illustration and printing to the performances of magicians, who create a shift in reality. The artist explains this process as follows: “The printing artist uses a pattern/matrix when she prints the visual to reveal her artistic expression. In this mold, the visual first becomes the texture that will represent it. After the printing phase, the texture becomes a reality claim, using the weaknesses of the eye, similar to magic.”
