WHO IS MOHAMED?
Mohamed Ben Hedi Cheěrif was born in Sfax on January 22, 1944 and continued his studies in industrial electro technique at the Normal School of Tunis. He is a member of the Union of Professional Tunisian Plastic Artists and of the Tunisian Federation of Painters. Eager to learn and a self-taught artist, it was only after his retirement from the world of professional entrepreneurship that this self-taught artist exhibited his works in Tunisia and elsewhere in the world. The marriage of colors and shapes in his paintings speak of the abundant creativity and convey the messages of love and hope of this artist with hundreds of works of art. Passionate about Arab history and literature, Mohamed Ben HediCheěrif transports us in each of his works to an immense universe in which verbal poetry sings and dances the forms of his visual creations. It is with his big smile and his red chechia that Mohamed Ben Hedi Cheěrif continues to trace a trajectory among Tunisian painters.
