WHO IS AYTEN?
Born in 1941 in Ankara. She started painting at State Museum of Painting and Sculpture in 1984. She studied painting at Sanatyapım – Kayhan Keskinok Workshop for six years; starting from 1985.
Timuroğlu had 21 personal exhibitions in different cities and districts of Turkey. She has also participated in many group exhibitions. Her painting named “Cumalıkızık” has been included in the collection by Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
She has participated in workshops and exhibitions organized by Greece – Zervas Art Center.
She has participated the Group exhibitions at Paris – La Galeria Capitale in 2015 and 2016.
She says; “what I recognize, What I come up against and coincidences. First was Gokova fisherman in my paintings, then Gökova women appear in my canvas. Now I paint fig trees also.”
She is a member of Ankara Women Painters Association, United Painters and Sculptors Association and She is a member of board for Keskinok Art Foundation.
