WHO IS CHARITY?
Charity Derby Akeiti is a Ghanaian-Nigerian (Ghagerian) Graphic Designer, Painter, Sculptor and Textile Designer. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Applied Arts from Delta State University, Abraka, Nigeria (2006) and a Diploma from Ghanatta College of Arts and Design (2002). She lived in Asaba the capital of Delta State where she worked as a Tutor for Demonstration Staff Secondary School, Federal College of Education(Technical) D.S.S. (F.C.E.(T).), Asaba for over five(5) years.
She served under the Local Government of Mallam Madori, Jigawa State in Northern Nigeria between 2007/2008 and was issued a Certificate of Commendation in 2008 for contribution and dedication in a self-executed and painting of a massive-sized (6 x 4feet) billboard as Community Development Service Project in creation of awareness concerning polio immunization in the Jigawa community.
She was commissioned alongside a colleague in 2011 to execute and mount an eight-foot Statue of Mother Mary and Jesus for a private school Chapel.
