Etab, a refugee painter, has been living and working in Chicago for the past 10 years. She graduated from the University of Fine Arts in Damascus, Syria. Her artistic approach boldly expresses childhood and her imagination. From her performing arts delicately flow several subjects such as portraits and colorful landscapes. On its texture layers, then, are color schemes, pastels and watercolors. Décor in which the painting brings tales and moments from the past. Memory turns into a subtle and visible art.

Etab Hareb takes us on a journey with the art of collage, paintings and water. It’s a lively graphic statement that spreads and is presented on whiteboards. This new vision proposed by the artist at the same time emphasizes a real universe and a fragile memory.
