WHO IS FASIL?

Assefa works mainly with acrylic on canvas, throughout the year, Fasil has explored various styles and techniques including comic like paintings that depict the hectic traffic of Addis.

These street scenes are familiar to anyone who has visited the capital and specially to those who have tried to maneuver their way through Addis Ababa traffic.

The most recent exhibition titled, Wudassie is a mix of Lalibela Impression and realistic paintings of heritage sites located through out Addis Ababa. Some of these include life paintings of historical buildings in Piazza. Which is one of the oldest area in capital.

Fasil gains his inspiration not only from Ethiopia, but also from his travels abroad. Some of the countries he has visited include Hong Kong, Taiwan, Germany, Austria, France and Netherlands his passion for art has allowed him to pursue his career as an artist and will no doubt drive him to become a master of his craft.
