MAKHACH MAGOMEDOV

Makhach MAGOMEDOV was bom on July 1st, 1968 in Oboda village, situated in Khounze Region in the Daguestan Republic near the southern border with Russia.
In 1985, he followed courses at the Fine Arts Pedagogic Institute of Makhachkala in the Department of painting.
Meanwhile, he played volley-ball. In the 1990s he integrated the Daguestan National team. In 1992 he and his brother Shamil won over at Anapa, the Russian championship of beach volley.
Between 1992-1994 he made frequent visits to Tunisia to carry out research in Islamic Studies. In 1998 he founded at the Russian Cultural and Scientific Centre the school of graphic Arts after Alexander Roubtsov, where several Tunisians fond of painting joined in large numbers. This year Makhach MAGOMEDOV painted on large-size canvas, mixing different styles and techniques. I hope that for the years to come the most prominent galleries will exhibit my work to help others discover it and appreciate this modest contribution to Tunisian art.
